I am a strong supporter of keeping the skies over Burien free of a crowded field of airplanes coming from the airport. I will work to raise awareness of this intersectional issue. At the end of the day, motivating collaboration between municipalities and government agencies to address loud skies, air pollution, and economic and environmental development is a quality of life issue. I seek to ensure that the City of Burien, our neighbors, and the Port of Seattle can work together to address pollution in our climate, crowded skies from increased port activity, and to ensure that government agencies respond to the needs of our citizens. Keeping the skies quiet will improve our city’s environment, public health, and empower citizen’s to act against forces that some would say are out of their control.
